BIOGRAPHY - Evolution to sculpture, 1968

Representations in bronze, always mouldered with smooth lines, are the general characteristics with which he expresses his ideas. He has elaborated these in depth. He makes sketches and drawings with its notes. He notes down the possible volumes, the profile lines and any other detail that will eventually evolve with the making of an expression.
In 1968 he received the visit of his friend Alexandre Cirici in his studio. He had just finished an oil painting, the abstraction of a perfume.

Alexandre observed the painting and asked:
- “What’s this?”
- Perfume.
Answered Lacoma.
- “Right. I can’t smell it …. but I recognize it, I feel it… I think it is a good abstraction and also very appealing.
Looking at a corner his friend observed a clay figure for foundry. He said:
- “Ah! This is a ghost.”
And he added:
- “Believe me José María, you express yourself extremely well with sculpture.”

The truth is, the author took his friend comment on “The Perfume” as made out of politeness, but the identification of the clay figure as “The Ghost of Wall Street” was an accurate observation and very valued. It was taken to the foundry within a short time. With some new touches it will be founded in silver soon. His bronze works of art are located in France in different particular collections.
