During all these years he also worked as an employee for different companies. He never gave up painting. It was at the end of this period when he started his evolution to art with a component of abstraction. Everything he expressed is the representation of an idea, of something intangible like “Happiness”, “Remembrances”, etc. He made a painting that is conceptually abstract, allegoric, and symbolic. It is only the representation of ideas or feelings that he wants to express.

Circa 1965, he carries out with his friend Alexandre Cirici Pellicer (1914-1983) various models for the cosmetic and perfume industry. Lluís Crusellas also assists in these works. At that time Alexandre Cirici was the director of ADI-FAD, he wrote about art. He was an art critic whose formation and experience are still cited today. Mr. Cirici was one of the first promoters of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Barcelona and President of the Association of Art Critics.

At the end of this period, the abstraction in Mr. Lacoma’s work, ceased to be “tormented” and starts working with smoother lines.
