Author’s comment

We endure suffering with more or less intensity. Sometimes it is the source of our errors, other times it is because of somebody else’s causes.

In any case, hell has always been expressed by the fire that has existed before the creation of our world, and we live in this land where under our feet there is the incandescence and the origin of the flame. The expression of diverse flames is the expression of our punishment.

In this piece I wanted to represent different sufferings. Some of the flames are indeed a human figure. Other human faces are suffering and enduring the flames. There are diverse lines of condemned people burning. The flames are also a sign of eternity.

Humanity will be eternally punished. Its wars, murders, mutual offences and its different kinds of fight are and will ever be eternal, like the purifying fire.
