I like sport. I have practised it a lot. Horse-riding, ski, cycling, sailing, Basque pelota… That is why, some years ago a good friend of mine introduced me to painter Jordi Alumà great lover of sports, like me. We exchanged some of our works of art. I’ve got two of his paintings and a drawing. Who knows where the works I gave him are. His signature was very peculiar and perhaps this is something we share, as I always leave in my sculptures a secret hidden signal.
Jordi Alumà
I went to the feminine school of the Sisters of the Order of Jesús María in Zaragoza (1937). We were in an exclusive class of only a few refugee children. There was the place where I made my first handcraft, guided by my nun teacher. It was a piece of marquetry. I cut the wood from a cigars box and made the coat of arms of my family.
To sum up, I think I am what I seem to be, imaginative, adventurous, very sensitive, and active. I am good with my hands, serious and formal.
